Hire-and-drive houseboat experiences are generally available from October to April. Moored floating apartment stays are generally available from May to September.

Guests leave their vehicles at the private marina before beginning their houseboat journey. Hire-and-drive guests can cruise through the Hardy Inlet and along the Blackwood River towards Alexandra Bridge before returning the houseboat to base at the end of their stay.
Is Parking Available at the Marina?
Yes. Secure guest parking is available at Houseboat Base during your stay.
There is also limited space for caravans and larger vehicles. Let us know before arrival if you need caravan or oversized vehicle parking.
Can I Visit the Marina Without an Appointment?
No. The marina is private and is not open to the general public.
Please call before visiting or travelling to Augusta. The houseboats may be away on hire and unavailable for inspection.
Can I Inspect a Houseboat Before Booking?
Yes. You can arrange an appointment to inspect a houseboat when it is available at the marina.
Call us on 0439 959 638 before travelling so we can confirm which vessels are at the base and arrange a suitable time.

What Can I Experience on the Blackwood River?
The Blackwood River and Hardy Inlet provide a peaceful setting for boating, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and wildlife watching.
Depending on the season, you may see pelicans, plovers, spoonbills, migratory waders and many other native bird species. The river also provides easy access to Augusta and the wider Margaret River region.
