Do I Need a Skipper’s Ticket to Hire a Houseboat?
No. You do not need a skipper’s ticket to hire and drive Storm or Houseboat River.
The nominated hirer must hold a current C-class driver’s licence and complete the pre-departure induction. The induction includes practical instruction on operating the houseboat, mooring and navigating the permitted area.
What If I Would Prefer Not to Drive a Houseboat?
If you would rather relax without operating the vessel, consider booking one of our moored houseboats.
You can enjoy life on the Blackwood River without navigating, driving or securing the houseboat to different moorings.
